CORNWALL HIKING AND LONDON

It was supposed to be a 9 day hiking trip along the part of the Soutwest Coast Path we had not done yet, namely from Bude to St. Ives. But bad weather and even worse forecasts for most of the days forced us to reschedule the first days, then cut whole sections short (taking the bus) and eventually we had to give up the whole plan and return to London much earlier than expected. We hiked only two days, the better ones. One cloudy and one sunny with strong winds.
So we made the best of it and soon not only found solace in pubs, bars and cafés in the pulsating metropolis we grew so fond of over the last decades but also enjoyed a Thames boat ride, rode to the famous Ally Pally to see The National live, made a field trip to Hampstead Heath and strolled through many parts of the city.
BUT we did not give up on this section of the Southwest Coast Path and we will definitely be back to complete it!
