BORDERLINE – AN ÖTSCHER EXPERIENCE

Well, reaching Ötscher's peak was challenging and not easy but it was a great and rewarding adventure once we reached the top! But first and foremost it was a beautiful sign of an already many decades lasting friendship! We had loads of fun and the beer afterwards tasted better than ever! It was a day in perfect weather conditions and a day which continued long after the summit was conquered! Margit and Sonja decided to reach the top via the very steep, hence strenuous ski slope from the Western side while Max, Martin, Buschi and Lacky decided to conquer the peak from the rocky Eastern part, meaning they had to climb over large rocks in many parts, also challenging not only their physical fitness but also their fear of heights since this climb included some exposed parts as well! Eventually all went perfectly well, the six of us happily met up at the top. Flasks were unpacked and small Schnaps bottles unveiled so we all could celebrate and cheer to our heroic achievement! We finished the tour at the refuge hut for some pints of beer before we had ourselves brought down smoothly to the bottom by chair lift and ended the day in a lovely pub by the beautiful Lake Lunz. Margit also brought her drone so some amazing pictures and videos were recorded, too! To sum it up: It was a perfect day!
